Tournament Format

• Must be a Filipino Citizen or Local Permanent Resident
• Must be 16 years of age or older
• Must hold an active WHS Handicap, or any handicap system with aligned formulas as the WHS
• Players with handicaps registered in another country must submit a signed document from a representative of their home country's amateur golf union prior to competing
• All players must have a handicap score within one of the 6 divisions listed in the classification below
• All players must conform to the NGAP Rules of Amateur Status as specified in the USGA Rules of Golf

• Competition is conducted as Stroke Play on a Net Score basis
• Net score is determined by subtracting the player's course handicap from their gross score
• 'Gimme' putts are not allowed — the ball must be holed out regardless of distance

The WAGC is divided into 6 Handicap Category Flights:

During competition, players will be randomly paired with other participants within the same flight category. Final decisions on re-flighting are solely at the discretion of WAGC Officials and the Tournament Director. WAGC Officials reserve the right to promote or re-flight a player at any time.

• Local Qualifiers — Only the winner of each division advances to the National Finals. The 1st runner-up is classified as an Alternate in the event the winner is unavailable.
• Majors — The top 3 finishers in each division are invited to the National Finals. Only the division champion receives an incentive at the National Finals.

A maximum stroke limit applies to every hole. Once a player reaches the limit, they must pick up and record the maximum strokes for that hole.

• All play is governed by the Tournament Director under the current USGA® Rules of Golf
• All on-course disputes must be directed to the Tournament Director

• Players must exchange scorecards with another player in the group before the round begins
• Scorecards must carry at least 3 signatures at the end of the round, unless the flight has fewer than 3 players
• Players must personally record scores on the official scorecard — caddies are not permitted to write scores
• Players must personally submit their completed scorecard at the designated drop box at the end of the round

Responsibility for maintaining pace of play rests with each player. Efficient pace is essential to a positive experience for all participants, in accordance with Rule 6-7 of the USGA® Rules of Golf.

In the event of a tie, the count-back proceeds in the following order:

For 36-hole events, the scorecard playoff starts with the final round score and proceeds according to the above schedule.

A strict dress code is enforced with no exceptions.

• Collared shirts or mock turtlenecks are required
• Jeans, denim, jogging outfits, and sweat pants are not permitted

• Players and their guests must conduct themselves in a responsible and respectful manner at all times
• Excessive displays of anger, vulgar language, club throwing, alcohol abuse, illegal drug use, lack of golfing etiquette, or disrespect toward any player or individual may result in immediate disqualification without refund

• Carts and caddies are permitted subject to availability at the host golf course
• Bringing your own caddy during a qualifier is not allowed
• Bringing your own caddy during the National Finals is subject to prior approval — please inquire with the organizing committee

Severe weather may delay or suspend play. Conditions that may trigger a suspension include lightning danger or a course deemed unplayable by the host facility. Every effort will be made to complete the full round. If play is suspended, all players must remain on property at the host facility and await official announcements from the tournament committee.

• Players must arrive at least 2.5 hours before tee off for registration and warm-up
• For shotgun starts, players must be at their assigned hole at least 20 minutes before tee off
• Players who arrive at their starting time but are late to the tee receive a 2-stroke penalty on the first hole
• Players more than 5 minutes late to their starting time are subject to disqualification, unless the Tournament Director determines extenuating circumstances warrant otherwise (Rule 33-7)

• Withdrawal from a tournament must be submitted at least 7 days before the event date
• Players who arrive late or fail to appear will forfeit their registration fee — no refunds will be issued

• All on-course disputes must be directed to the Referee or Tournament Director
• If the Referee or Tournament Director is not immediately available, the player may — after notifying their marker — elect to play two balls in accordance with Rule 3-3 and obtain a ruling before signing and returning their scorecard
• The WAGC Referee's decision on all matters pertaining to the Rules of Golf is final

The WAGC Philippines Committee reserves the right to modify and revise these conditions at any time. Participants will be notified of any significant changes prior to their event.
